Learn more about our leading-edge fertility research and training
USC Fertility is at the forefront of fertility research and training. Our Southern California fertility clinic’s comprehensive involvement in the field enhances the care we provide to patients. This is because we’re always learning and bringing the most-effective, innovative treatments to the women and men who are hoping to fulfill their dream of parenthood.
A look at our fertility research and training
The knowledgeable reproductive endocrinologists at our clinic are also active researchers. We perform targeted research, clinical trials and ongoing studies to help improve fertility treatments for all women and men struggling with infertility.
The researchers at our Southern California fertility clinic participate in worldwide collaboration, sharing findings at industry events and in USC classrooms. Doing so allows current and future fertility specialists to benefit from our groundbreaking research.
Our research strives to improve a wide variety of fertility treatments.
- In vitro fertilization (IVF)
- Donor egg IVF
- Ovarian tissue freezing for fertility rescue
- Vitamin D and fertility care
- Endometrial response to hCG
In addition to the advanced research we perform, our fertility specialists are training the next generation of highly skilled reproductive endocrinologists through our affiliation with the Keck School of Medicine.
These specialists go through extensive training. They first complete all the training required of an OB/GYN. They then go through a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and complete two years of practice in the fertility field. These doctors often go on to make their own contributions to fertility research and training.
More about our fellowship program
Our training program is incredibly thorough with fellows completing 36 consecutive months exclusively in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Our fellows have previously completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program approved by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We have a very competitive program, only admitting two new fellows every third year, and one new fellow during each of the other two years.
We align the fellowship program at our Southern California fertility clinic with the educational guidelines set forth by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
It is our honor and privilege to have such a high level of involvement in training new fertility specialists. Contact us for more information about our fertility research and training.
