One of the most rewarding aspects of my work at USC Fertility revolves around my being the founder and director of our Fertility Preservation Program for Cancer Patients. It is well-known that life-saving cancer therapies can leave men and women infertile. Thanks to a variety of options, an individual or couple dealing with cancer can preserve fertility and conceive post-treatment.
USC Fertility’s exciting work in the field of fertility preservation for cancer patients has led to a new collaboration with Women & Cancer magazine. Launched in February 2006 by Cancer Consultants, Inc., W&C is billed as “the premier online destination for both oncology consumers and professionals” and published quarterly in print and online at www.CancerConsultants.com. W&C provides all women (and their family and friends) with “a trusted resource covering prevention, management and wellness issues related to cancer, while fostering community and inspiring hope.”
As the first step in this new partnership with W&C, USC Fertility will author a comprehensive feature article about fertility preservation for the magazine’s Summer 2009 issue, along with a “Frequently Asked Questions” sidebar.
Subsequently, USC Fertility will contribute to the publisher’s recurring “Cancer Tips” column on an ongoing basis. These shorter pieces will be distributed across more than 130 cancer-related websites managed by Cancer Consultants, Inc.
We are very proud of this professional alliance with W&C and Cancer Consultants, Inc., and look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship. For a free subscription to the publication, please visit the Women and Cancer Magazine site.
