Egg Freezing (Oocyte Cryopreservation)

Oocyte Cryopreservation, the scientific name for egg freezing, is a technique that allows women to freeze and store their eggs until they want to start or expand their families. Egg freezing effectively suspends the ever-present ticking of the reproductive biological clock, giving women more choices than ever before.

Until recently, egg freezing has been relatively rare as few practices have the experience or capability to offer this service.

At USC Fertility, however, we have both the experience and the capability.

We have been successfully freezing - and thawing - eggs since 2004 and have achieved more live births than any other program on the West Coast.

The following provides an overview of frequently asked questions about the egg freezing program at USC Fertility.
